Ingredients:

2 Cups Heavy Cream or 424 grams

1 Cup Milk or 228 grams

3/4 Cup Sugar or 150 grams

1/4 Tsp Salt

1/4 cup basil coarsely chopped

Directions:

Add milk and cream to a quart jar with coarse chopped basil, shake it a bit, and let sit in the fridge for at least overnight (or up to a couple days for stronger flavor).

Drain the basil by pouring the milk through a fine mesh strainer twice.

Add in remaining ingredients and stir until sugar dissolves.

Pour into ice cream stand bowl mixer and mix until the ice cream starts to stick together.

Transfer to a freezer bowl and freeze for at least 2 hours.

Optional:

Add 1/4 cup chopped semi-sweet chocolate chips

Add 1-2 drops of green food coloring to give it a more festive look
